Between sips they share tales of their medical misadventures. The stories may inspire you, may comfort you (misery loves company, right?), they may make you cringe, or may even make you laugh... but you certainly won’t forget what you have heard!
It's possible that we had too much fun recording this episode. How much is too much, you ask? So much that we ran way over on time. Looking at the lengthy file of raw audio, we opted to split the recording into two episodes of more manageable length.
Episode 76 picks up right where episode 75 left off. Already three whiskeys and three sets of stories into their evening, this episode has Marco & Jess continuing with the next three whiskeys in their flight. Included in episode 76 are:
Sit back, listen in, and enjoy!

Breakfast. It's been called the most important meal of the day. This week our co-hosts relocate their recording space to the kitchen and are joined by Kid-1 as they prepare three low carb (i.e. keto-friendly, paleo-friendly) breakfast dishes. Cooking with kids can be an adventure, especially when the other three may wander in at any moment to add an extra element of chaos. For the menu Marco and Jessica both opted for cast iron skillet dishes, perfectly suited for mornings at home or out at the campsite during your summer vacation. As for Kid-1, she drew inspiration from the Summer Olympics and decided to go with chocolate donuts. That's right, low carb CHOCOLATE DONUTS made from scratch. Listen in to this wild ride as Marco & Jessica juggle recording, cooking, parenting, and unfiltered reactions from pint-sized taste testers... all on empty stomachs!

Having everyone at home all day, everyday isn't exactly a novel problem at this point in 2020. However with the kids out on the winter/holiday break from school, they suddenly have a lot less on their plate. Meanwhile, mom and dad still have plenty to do. Is it possible to keep the kids entertained without just letting them veg out with video game, movies, and various electronic devices. Is there any way to keep them from turning the house into a disaster zone in the final few days before Christmas? Is there a way to do something novel after already spending so much time at home this year. The simple answer: YES. This week Marco and Jess discuss their approach for achieving all this (and more) with their family over the next few weeks. In addition, they discuss the assistant coach glass, a list of Batman inspired cocktails, and progress in the recent reboots of their workout routines. And, before calling an episode, they give a shoutout to the most recent champions of the Red Arrow Challenge (RAC).

In this episode Marco and Jessica take a step back after a busy week to reflect, relax, enjoy each other's company, and sample an array of adult beverages. More specifically, they work their way through a bourbon flight followed by a flight of hard seltzers. Between discussing their samples of four bourbons and four seltzers, the hosts have fun by taking turns asking probing questions. How did Marco get into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)? How did Jessica get involved in multisport racing? What is Marco's favorite part of coaching cross country? What comfort food might be making an appearance in the near future? All of these, and more, are answered. And then before wrapping up, they again make time to give a shoutout to the latest set of champions in the Red Arrow Challenge.
