Robbyn Swan has co-authored three bestselling books. The Eleventh Day: The Full Story of 9/11 & Osama bin Laden, was a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for History and won the prestigious Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction. Swan contributes to Vanity Fair and has written for The Daily Telegraph, Salon, The Observer, The Daily Beast, MSNBC, The Irish Times, The Sunday Independent [Ireland], the London Independent, Defense News, and The National Journal.

Thomas Drake is a former senior executive with the National Security Agency, a United States Air Force and Navy veteran, computer software expert, and whistleblower. During his career at the Air Force, Drake was an Airborne Voice Processing Specialist, with fluency in German, and went on ELINT (electronic intelligence) missions. While at NSA he became a senior-executive holding top security clearance and later he blew the whistle on multi-billion fraud, loss of intelligence, wrongdoing and a secret dragnet electronic surveillance and data mining program conducted on a vast scale by the NSA after 9/11. The name of the program was called Trailblazer. This program violated and subverted the Constitution as well as individual sovereignty and privacy, while weakening national security and fundamentally eroding civil liberties. 

In April 2010 he was charged by the US Department of Justice with a 10 felony count Espionage Act indictment facing 35 years in prison, until the government's case against him collapsed in June 2011. Drake rejected several deals because he refused to "plea bargain with the truth". He eventually pleaded to one misdemeanor count for exceeding authorized use of a computer. He is the 2011 recipient of the Ridenhour Prize for Truth Telling while also awarded the Sam Adams Associates for Integrity in Intelligence (SAAII) award and the Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Award.

In this episode i speak on the current US foreign policy framework and how the terrorist networks such as Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and Taliban in Afghanistan, are working with other Arab fundamentalist organizations to coordinate a response to the tragedies in Gaza, Yemen and North Africa to which the United States government plays a part. The reports from the United Nations Security Counsel as well as terrorism experts have all reported that the current threat matrix coming out of Afghanistan and the Arabian Peninsula is now far ahead and plans for a international terrorist operation is heading underway. The question is, how can we prepare accordingly. 

Robert Wright Jr. was a former FBI counter-terrorism agent out of the Chicago Field Office who once spearheaded an intricate investigation into suspected money laundering of terrorist groups by Islamic relief charities, code named "Vulgar Betrayal". By the time the investigation started, Wright noted how top brass at the Chicago and FBI headquarters in Washington DC looked to upend Wright's investigative team, by not providing him with the necessary financing or manpower to further their operation. 

Wright would later complain that "FBI management intentionally and repeatedly thwarted and obstructed my attempts to launch a more comprehensive investigation to identify and neutralize terrorists." Information about the Holy Land Foundation, BMI Inc, and their ties to terrorist groups like Al Qaeda and Hamas were intentionally thwarted or mismanaged which led to the abrupt end of the "Vulgar Betrayal" investigation. 

Afterwards, Wright would author a detailed book, to which, the FBI prevented him from publishing with threats of criminal prosecution. By 2006 a court ruling would approve of the book's release.

In this episode i talk about the raw intelligence and data that the US intelligence services had which could had prevented the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks, from being an operational success. But because of internal grievances, malfeasance and nefarious agendas, the intelligence was not shared with each other. Even when the attacks were taking place, the national defense failed us. In this episode i cover the initial entry of a known radical cleric from the Egyptian fundamentalist group, Gamma Islamiyyah, Omar Abdel Rahman, into the United States. Also known as the "Blind Sheikh" due to the effects of blindness from an early age, Rahman had been linked to the assassination of Egyptian president, Anwar Sadat, but later released under house arrest. However he escaped, and would later be given residency into the United States, while on a terrorist watchlist approved by the CIA.

This discussion involves the years of Rahman's initial entry into the country, the CIA's close relationship with Rahman and other radical Islamists including Ali Mohamed (a triple agent for CIA, FBI and Al Qaeda). By 1990 the collapse of the Soviet Union with the assistance of the agency and Pakistan ISI thru the program, "Operation Cyclone", The hatred for the West would come in the form of guerilla terrorism warfare which was seemingly born out of either malfeasance or a more nefarious conspiracy to later engage in an endless war on terrorism abroad.

In this episode, i read from the various files from the FBI's Newark office and their 9/11 investigation code named "PENTTBOM", which involved an investigation of the Israeli nationals who were operating out of moving companies such as Urban Moving Systems in the United States. The FBI reports detail an intricate intelligence operation that concentrated out of Weehawken, New Jersey and Hollywood, Florida. Incidentally, these areas are also where some of the members of the Hamburg Cell (the 9/11 pilot hijackers) were living as well.

In a previous episode, we spoke on the infamous East Ruthersford police report and the FBI's own report on the Israeli operators. These reports however concentrate on the FBI agents interviews of the employees and eyewitnesses who saw the Israeli nationals in the days prior and post 9/11 attacks.

However, lacking specific details we cannot say for certain on what the Israeli intelligence operators knew. But, we can surmise that they knew an Al Qaeda attack was imminent. In the weeks after the attacks, all of the Israeli nationals were deported. Taking with them whatever intelligence they had collected between the years 2000-2001. In the aftermath of the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),  Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), along with the Department of Defense (DoD), began the process of perusing the terrorists and their associates involved. In the timeframe between 2002-2006, the CIA's "rendition program" was given a green light while Pentagon and State Department officials hired CIA psychologists who implemented the "enhanced interrogation program" called SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) on those captured. 

Reports were leaked about secret CIA prisons in the Middle East and Europe that used barbarous torture methods to extract information on subjects they believed were behind the 9/11 attacks. In 2006 a Senate Committee was formed headed by Senator Dianne Feinstein (United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence), and released it's findings in a 6,700 page report entitled "The Committee Study of the Central Intelligence Agency's Detention and Interrogation Program". In the many pages of the report, the Committee investigated the CIA and its torture of many inmates which showed the results of their brutal practices.

In this episode i speak about the Committee's final conclusions of the CIA's enhanced interrogation techniques, the FBI's report on what they saw in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the laws that were changed in the days after September 11th 2001, that led to the creation of the agency's program that was universally condemned  while the CIA tried to coverup their involvement.

Presently, she oversees Department of Defense's (DoD) research and development projects, aiming to discover, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address complex national security challenges. Previously, she served as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. House of Representatives after being recruited as an executive appointment from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She is also the co-author of Benghazi: Know Thy Enemy, a cold case, open-source investigation into the al-Qa'ida terrorists who attacked the U.S. Consulate and CIA Annex in Benghazi in 2012. She holds a Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor's of Science in International Business from the University of Central Florida.

In December 1999, NSA analysts working on a covert signals intelligence operation on an Al Qaeda network hub in Sana'a , Yemen, pick up an important phone call from Malaysia. The caller tells someone by the name of "Khalid", to tell the two others, to come to a meeting in Malaysia. The caller was identified as someone by the name of "Khallad". 

The CIA, which heads all international operations, had then asked Malaysian authorities to conduct a surveillance team from the Special Branch, and take photographs of anyone at this meeting. Afterwards, two of the meetings occupants, 'Khalid' and 'Nawaf', who possessed US visas, were coming to the United States. NSA and CIA then blocked the FBI from sharing this intelligence from being shared with FBI headquarters. Question is why?

Richard Kammen is a criminal defense lawyer with his office in Indianapolis, Indiana. He concentrates his practice in serious felonies, white-collar defense, complex crimes and death penalty defense. Alka Pradhan is an American human rights attorney who has represented Guantanamo Bay detainees, civilian drone strike victims, and other torture victims. She currently works for the U.S. Department of Defense, Military Commissions Defense Organization and represents Ammar al-Baluchi in the case of United States v. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Pradhan also works as a defense attorney at the International Criminal Court.  

Additionally, she is an active participant in the UN human rights mechanisms, with submissions or presentations on behalf of clients to the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, the UN Committee Against Torture, the Human Rights Committee, and the Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. She has co-written or advised on several amicus curiae briefs submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. 

In this interview, Ms. Pradhan speaks at length regarding her initial career as a litigator while working alongside the International Criminal Court., Military Commissions Defense Organization and co-counsel for Ammar al-Baluchi (one of the defendants charged for the Sept 11th attacks).  

According to breaking reports from 60 Minutes and Florida Bulldog, video footage shot by a Saudi government employee, Omar al-Bayoumi, which was obtained by news outlets shows a group of men driving around a neighborhood and sometimes pointing out landmarks like the White House, the Washington Monument and the Capitol building. Also, a cell phone linked to a top Saudi prince was also used to contact two future 9/11 hijackers which was never used again, shows that there very well could be a direct connection between certain individuals within the Saudi Kingdom and the 9/11 hijackers and the attacks.

In this episode, i talk about the capture and eventual torture of the man alleged to have operated and planned the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Mohammed was captured while hiding in Rawalpindi, Pakistan on March 1st 2003. While in CIA custody, Mohammed underwent various torture methods, also known as, the enhanced interrogation techniques. Mohammed was subjected to punching to the face and stomach, sleep deprivation, rectal rehydration and waterboarding. He was transferred to various countries where secret CIA black sites were held including, Poland, Lithuania, Afghanistan and Romania. 

As of September 2006, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is a prisoner at the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba where he currently awaits trial for conspiracy and other charges in facilitating the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks. However, because Mohammed was tortured, along with the 4 others charged in the conspiracy, his admission's cannot be used as evidence. So in 2002, the CIA would hire Mitchell, Jessen and Associates, to conduct a method on detainees entitled the SERE program where acts of torture would be implemented by captured prisoners to elicit information. Most of which would turn out to be false data.

Ray Holcomb has over 30 years’ experience as a law enforcement and intelligence officer. Mansoor Adayfi born in Sanaa'Yemen was held without charge in the United States Guantanamo Bay detention camps in Cuba from February 9, 2002, to July 11, 2016. Brett Eagleson is the son of the late John Bruce Eagleson who worked for Westfield Management Corp. on the 17th floor of the south tower of the World Trade Center whom perished on September 11th 2001. Brett Eagleson is currently the CEO of 9/11 Justice, a grassroots movement made up of the 9/11 community, which consists of 9/11 survivors, first responders, family members of those lost, and all volunteers and lower Manhattan residents, students and workers who are now suffering fatal illnesses due to their exposure to Ground Zero. 

Today Brett, and other 9/11 victim family members, have hired law firms Motley Rice and Kreindler & Kreindler to push a civil litigation case against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their alleged role in having Saudi operatives give logistical and financial support to two known Al Qaeda operatives while living inside the United States, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, and later a few others, which has now been acknowledged thru the 2023 Donald Canestraro files and the FBI Operation Encore files which were declassified in 2021.  In today's interview we go over the background of both father and son, Brett and his summation of what he was doing before, during and after the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001, the release of the Operation Encore files by Department of Justice, the release of the Donald Canestraro documents, and the State Department's continued coverup of Saudi intelligence involvement with some of the 9/11 hijackers and involvement with LIV Golf.

Carol Hellermann is a former American Airlines flight attendant for Flight 1 in which 3 arab men who argued about not having to fly on September 11th 2001 when the flight could not take off due to a ground stop. Meanwhile 4 days after 9/11, Hellermann found out that those men were planning to crash into the Sears Tower in Chicago.. Hellermann is speaking out about how there were likely a dozen more planes and targets than the FBI or anyone has ever admitted. Because of employment contract restrictions Hellermann could not speak out about what took place, and since retiring from her 21 years of service she is now speaking out about her experience that day. She also states that the FBI never interviewed her about her ordeal regarding those three arab men who argued about not having to fly on Flight 1 and that the FAA didn't disclose the additional attempted hijackings due to fear of losing clientele which would cause a nationwide economic crash and cause financial loss to the airline industry as a whole.

In this episode, i talk about the motivations behind the US embassy attacks in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya, which were authorized by two islandic fundamentalist groups, Al Qaeda led by Osama Bin Laden and the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, led by Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri. The bombings are widely believed to have been revenge for U.S. involvement in the extradition, and alleged torture, of four members of Egyptian Islamic Jihad who had been arrested in Albania. According to Bin Laden, it was in response to the US military invasion of Iraq in 1990 and Somalia in 1994. We continue off of Part 1 of the episode, as NYPD and the NY-JTTF investigate the assassination of Jewish radical firebrand, Rabbi Meri Kahane at a downtown Manhattan hotel. His killer? El Sayyid Nosair, who also has ties to a radical cleric from Egypt from the fundamnetlist sect, Gamma Islamiyyah, known as the "Blind Sheikh" Omar Abdel Rahman. Investigators find incriminating items at Nosair's home which went ignored, which would have showed a brewing arab fundamentalist problem. 

Meanwhile the FBI begins a sting operation at Rahman's inner cell in two mosques located in Brooklyn and Jersey City, where they employ a former Egyptian military officer to act as informant, Emad Salem, Who uncovers a massive terrorist conspiracy involving bombing of NYC landmarks. operated by Nosair and Rahman.

The FBI suddenly removes Salem as its highly valued "confidential source "with a dire warming from Salem. Ramzi Yousef, a Baluchi citizen, with ties to an Israeli Mossad asset, Ahmed Ajaj. Replaces Salem, and begins assembling a bomb which would be used in the World Trade Center.

Mohamedou Ould Slahi Houbeini was born in Rosso, Mauritania, the ninth of twelve children of a camel herder. His family moved to the capital of Nouakchott when he was a child, where he excelled in school and earned a scholarship to study electrical engineering at Gerhard-Mercator University in Duisburg, Germany. In 2001, he was living and working in his home country of Mauritania when he was detained and renditioned to Jordan, beginning an ordeal that he would chronicle in his internationally bestselling Guantánamo Diary. The manuscript, which he wrote in his isolation cell in the detention camp at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, remained classified for almost eight years and was finally declassified, with substantial redactions, in 2013. It was first published in the United States and United Kingdom in January 2015 and has since been published in 25 languages.

After 15 years of detention, Mohamedou was released on October 17, 2016, to Mauritania. The following year he published a “restored edition” of Guantánamo Diary, filling in the U.S. government’s redactions, and in 2021, his first novel, The Actual True Story of Ahmed and Zarga, is being published by Ohio University Press. In 2021, a theatrical film was released, entitled The Mauritanian, which is of course based on Slahi's detention and torture, in which actor Tahar Rahim, played the part of Slahi in which was nominated for two Golden Globe awards and five nominations at the British Film Academy Awards as well.

In todays episode, i go over the near obscure written memorandum from retired corporate lawyer, Gerald Shea, who also once the District Attorney for San Luis Obispo County, California from 1998 to 2013. Shea had penned an extensive memo for the 9/11 Commission which was drafted on September 15th 2004. It is a 13 point summary regarding Israeli Mossad agents which were hiding under the guise of “art students” thru-ought most of the metropolitan cities of the United States. Selling cheap art to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and even to these employees personal homes. The Israeli DEA Groups were comprised of 125 or more Israelis, and had collected sensitive data about the details of the September 11th attacks before the event happened and did not share this information with any agency inside the United States.

It also goes into great length about the daily investigations of the 9/11 operatives in NYC and Florida. Operations of both the Israeli New Jersey Group and the hijackers of the Pentagon Plane which were centered in Hudson and Bergen Counties in New Jersey. The comprehensive report detailing the National Security Agency (NSA) and their signals intelligence operation of Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. This operation allegedly began in 1991-1992, that extended up until and even after the terrorist events of September 11th 2001. Over the course of these long years, the NSA had amassed upwards up to a million pages of transcripts which were gleamed from Bin Laden satellite phones from 1991-1998, and from an Al Qaeda communications hub in Yemen, from 1996-2002. What exactly did the NSA hear from Bin Laden and other top Al Qaeda officials? Well, that information is deemed "classified" and the public won't know anything about it, unless they acknowledge the extent of the operation the NSA were conducted and are being afforded protection by the CIA and White House.

As American Airlines Flight 11 steered directly into the World Trade Center's North Tower, the response by mostly everyone watching or hearing about it was unsurprising, many were in shock and in a state of paralysis. As United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower, however, many people believed the nation was under a terrorist attack. What was the government response? In this episode i specify the actions and inactions made by certain officials and the complete and utter incompetence of specific people who seemed to have either been caught "off guard" or simply just paralyzed to undertake any action that could have prevented attacks on the nations capitol and in Pennsylvania at the very least.

One of the most infamous and maligned conspiracies involving the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks has been the story of the Israeli moving company, Urban Moving Systems, and the three Israeli employees that were found celebrating the attack of the North Tower of the World Trade Center. When the East Rutherford Police Department later detailed these individuals, there seemed to be much more to their backgrounds than what was originally suspected. When the FBI field office in Newark. New Jersey became involved, it was led by Kevin Donovan (Special Agent in Charge) (SAC). Over the following 71 days until they were deported, the FBI and East Rutherford Police uncovered what seemed to be, a large illegal foreign intelligence operation, which are from Israel, which may have obtained specific data regarding the hijackers involved with the terrorist attacks. I read from, the FBI and East Rutherford redacted reports and fill in some of those blanks to the best of my knowledge using articles and archives of documents as well as media reports from the days after the events of September 11th 2001.

When the Soviets invaded the capitol of Afghanistan in 1979, Kabul, the Islamic community declared a fatwa against the secular communists from the North. Inn doing so, hundreds of thousands of Arabs from all over the world heeded the call. Making up less than 10% of the fighting force, they hardly made an impression. All except for two individuals, a Palestinian imam, Abdullah Yusuf Azzam, and a wealthy Saudi, Osama Bin Laden. Both men served as examples for the Afghan and Arab Mujahedeen fighters who battled long and heavy against the Soviets. By the near end of the conflict, Azzam had fell out of favor with the Arabs who gravitated towards the silent but stout, Bin Laden who by now had the full protection of Egyptian militants from groups like Egyptian Islamic Jihad under Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, who was let out of prison for his suspected role in the assassination of the Egyptian President, Anwar Sadat. By 1990, Azzam was assassinated, and Bin Laden and the Arab Mujahedeen had returned back to their native countries. Some, went to the United States, and continued the jihad there. Years later, many terrorist attacks in the country and outside of it, were precipitated by their years of training and funding from the intelligence services who gave them money, weapons and logistical support to defeat the Soviets. Now the war was against the very country who assisted them, in the United States. Had the CIA and US State Department not realized that the very monster they unleashed against the Soviets would return to haunt them? 

In the immediate aftermath of the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks, US President George W. Bush, along with members of the White House Legal Counsel, went to work on circumventing domestic laws and the Constitution on two programs. The bypassing of the Geneva Convention for those suspected or labeled "enemy combatants" and the NSA warrantless wiretapping of Americans. On September 14th 2001, the Senate voted unanimously, 420 to 1, to expand on more unlimited War Powers for the President. John Yoo, Deputy Chief of the Justice Department, and Timothy Flanagan, lawyer for the White House Counsel Office, began to draft legislation by passing the Constitution regarding the Presidents checked authority during times of war, while David Addington, Cheney's person lawyer, began drafting memos regarding the Presidents authority to label any suspected of terrorism as an "enemy combatant".

Meanwhile, leading Neoconservatives such as Douglas Feith, Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz began pressuring Bush to engage Iraq militarily, even if no intelligence was found linking them to the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington DC. The CIA were given full authority from Bush to begin the "rendition and torture" programs which were given no vetting from any independent agency. On November 13th 2001, John Yoo had sanctioned White House plans to give the Defense Department sole authority to decide which terrorists will be tried in Military Commissions. These dangerous memos and pieces of legislation could very well, one day, be met against us,, the American people.

Immediately after the terrorist incidents of September 11th 2001, the FBI  conducted the largest criminal inquiry in it's history. Thousands of leads started to come into the bureau, and the Saudi link was impossible to ignore. The operation's code name, PENTTBOM, it's name stands for "Pentagon/Twin Towers Bombing Investigation". The investigation was launched on September 11, 2001, and involved 4,000 special agents and 3,000 professional employees. On September 27, 2001, the FBI released photos of the 19 hijackers, along with information about the possible nationalities and aliases of many. Among the many affiliates and others who assisted logistical and financial support to the 9/11 operatives, were Saudi officials such as Fahad al-Thumairy, Omar al-Bayoumi, Osama Basnan, Musaed al-Jarrah, Sam Mustafa, Mohdhar Abdullah and Anwar al-Awlaki. Yet, much of the information from the FBI's PENNTBOM report, was classified, and names were redacted in a congressional inquiry headed by the House and Senate Select Committee, known as the "28 pages".

Years later the 9/11 victims families asked US President Donald Trump to release documents from the FBI’s investigation into the 9/11 plot, documents that the Justice Department has long fought to keep secret. Later, the families were told that Trump ordered the attorney general, William P. Barr, to release the name of a Saudi diplomat who was linked to the 9/11 plot in an FBI report years earlier. Justice Department lawyers handed over the Saudi official’s name in a protected court filing that could be read only by lawyers for the plaintiffs. But Barr dashed the families’ hopes. The full story of the FBI’s investigation into Saudi links to the 9/11 attacks has remained largely untold. 

However, in 2020 Propublica in partnership with the New York Times Magazine published an article entitled "Operation Encore and the Saudi Connection: A Secret History of the 9/11 Investigation". Operation Encore, the FBI's "follow up" to PENTTBOM, where a group of FBI agents found evidence of a much larger Saudi operation which supported two known Al Qaeda operatives living inside the United States who were later involved with the 9/11 attacks. The Biden administration has declassified a 16-page FBI report tying 9/11 hijackers to Saudi nationals living in the United States. The document, written in 2016, summarized an FBI investigation into those ties called Operation Encore. The signals intelligence operation involving the National Security Agency (NSA) and their foreign and domestic operations of two Al Qaeda terrorists, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operation involving certain people at the Bin Laden Issue Station and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that were involved in the "cover-up" afterwards which involved, to this day, the interference of 91/1 victims families in their civil suit case against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We also spoke in depth about the Saudi and Israeli intelligence data collection operations that had seemingly knew about those involved with the 9/11 operators years, that even went back, some years prior to the 9/11 attacks.  We often shoot from the hip here and even involves some "loose" language at times. 21 years after the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington DC, the United States government had announced it assassinated the elusive Egyptian radical cleric and emir of Al Qaeda, Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, on July 31st 2022. According to a senior administration official who said "The United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against a significant Al Qaeda target in Afghanistan." That target was living in Kabul City, Afghanistan. However, just how definitive is this report? And what evidence does the US government have to share with the public that it indeed killed the elder statements of the Salafist terrorist orgznaition. Will we ever be privy to such  evidence or will we be left to speculate his death just as we have with the assassination of Osama Bin Laden in 2011. In 1996, Osama Bin Laden's brother in law, Mohammed Jamal Khalifa, has started funding a militant group in Yemen called "The Islamic Army Of Aden", named after the port city Aden. By mid 1998, the group starts operations and making political statements and carries about kidnappings and assaults on local law enforcement, similar to what was transpiring in the Philippines, in which Khalifa also runs small businesses and funds the Islamic militant group affiliated with Bin Laden, Abu Sayyaf. US Intelligence however, are quite familiarized with what is happening in Yemen, as the NSA and CIA have begun monitoring an Al Qaeda safehouse located in the Yemen capitol, Sana'a. The house owned by a Bin Laden associate, Ahmed al-Hada, is also sometimes frequented by the son-in-law and future 9/11 hijacker, Khalid al-Mihdhar, whom is married to his daughter. The US monitors the house through bugs planted inside and through spy satellites to monitor people leaving and entering it. A high ranking Al Qaeda facilitator and financial courier, Walid bin Attash (Khallad), travels to Yemen and meets with Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri as they begin preparations to attack US naval ships in the port of Aden. The plan is to attack the USS Sullivans which is part of an Al Qaeda international terrorist plot known as the "Millenium Bombing Plot", but the operation fails. On October 12, 2000 the USS Cole is bombed by martyrs from the Islamic Army Of Aden. Meanwhile, US intelligence services such as NSA had begun signals operations on Bin Laden and Al Qaeda back in 1992 or 1996 (depending on who you ask), while CIA had begun human intelligence operations in Yemen in 1996. How is it certain terrorist operations were stopped, according to them, yet certain terrorist operations were successful.

John Kiriakou is a former CIA officer, former senior investigator for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and former counterterrorism consultant for ABC News. He was responsible for the capture in Pakistan in 2002 of Abu Zubaydah, then believed to be the third-ranking official in al-Qaeda. In 2007, Kiriakou blew the whistle on the CIA’s torture program, telling ABC News that the CIA tortured prisoners, that torture was official U.S. government policy, and that the policy had been approved by then-President George W. Bush. He became the sixth whistleblower indicted by the Obama administration under the Espionage Act. In 2012, Kiriakou was honored with the Joe A. Callaway Award for Civic Courage, an award given to individuals who “advance truth and justice despite the personal risk it creates,” and by the inclusion of his portrait in artist Robert Shetterly’s series Americans Who Tell the Truth, which features notable truth-tellers throughout American history. He was later named “Peacemaker of the Year” by the Peace and Justice Center of Sonoma County, California. He won the PEN Center USA’s prestigious First Amendment Award in 2015 and is the author of The Reluctant Spy: My Secret Life in the CIA’s War on Terror. While also authoring other books such as "The Convenient Terrorist: Two Whistleblowers' Stories of Torture, Terror, Secret Wars, and CIA Lies" "Surveillance and Surveillance Detection: A CIA Insider's Guide" and "Doing Time Like a Spy: How the CIA Taught Me to Survive and Thrive in Prison". Kiriakou spoke about how his college professor, Jerrold Post, was actually a CIA case officer and recruited him into the agency. Shayna Steinger, was a US visa official working in the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia US consular office, who issued visas to 12 of the 19 hijackers blamed for the attacks of September 11th 2001. The 9/11 Commission Report does not mention her by name, but states that a single official gave visas to 11 of the hijackers - though other information included in the report suggests that the correct number should be 12, a figure Steinger herself has reportedly confirmed. However, Steinger gave verbal testimony to the State Department Inspector General in 2002, in which she stated that it did not matter that all the hijackers’ visa applications were incomplete, because Saudis were eligible for visas anyway thru the "Visa Express Program". She also stated that she did not interview most of the hijackers she issued visas to and, even if she had interviewed them, she would probably have issued them with visas regardless. She also claims that the Jeddah office was understaffed and overwhelmed with applicants. 

Yet she was met with criticisms from inside the consular office by her coworkers who said she was irresoluble in allowing many of the applications, which went without review, that shouldn't have been approved. There were even rumors that Steinger herself was affiliated with the Central Intelligence Agency at some level. This incident is similar to what happened during the Afghan-Soviet war where a former US consular official, J,Michael Springmann, denied applications that were incomplete but overruled and approved by another consular official, Stephanie Smith, who happened to also be a CIA official. In this episode i explore the months leading up to the 9/11 attacks and what was happening inside the Jeddah consular office.

After years of Egyptian state repression on it's most fervent Islamist sects such as Gamma Islamiyyah and Egyptian Islamic Jihad, the followers of one notable Gamma Islamiyah leader, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, saw fit to exact revenge on the Hosni Mubarak led Egyptian government in attacking it's tourism industry. The Luxor massacre was the killing of 62 people, mostly tourists, on 17 November 1997, at Deir el-Bahari, an archaeological site and major tourist attraction across the Nile from Luxor, Egypt. The massacre would end up having a reverberating effects, not just on Egyptian society, but for the world over. Nick Fielding is a journalist and author. He has worked for the Sunday Times, the Mail on Sunday and the Independent. At the Mail on Sunday he broke the story of the renegade MI5 officer David Shayler, and for the Sunday Times he covered the story of Richard Tomlinson, a MI6 whistleblower (Fielding is the author of the introduction to Tomlinson's book The Big Breach). In this special episode, Richard Cox and Adam Fitzgerald, speak on the Ukrainian-Russian crisis. Richard opens up the dialogue by explaining the Holodomor Genocide, which was a famine in Soviet Ukraine from 1932 to 1933 that killed millions of Ukrainians. From there, we speak on the Orange Revolution which took place in Ukraine from late November 2004 to January 2005, in the immediate aftermath of the run-off vote of the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election, which was claimed to be marred by massive corruption, voter intimidation and electoral fraud, in which Viktor Yushchenko won. In the years proceeding this was rife with protests in the Ukrainian capitol, Kiev, where ultra-right wing separatists, such as the neo-nazi group, Azov Battalion, are covertly trained by the Central Intelligence Agency to repel the Russian military in the disputed territories, Donetsk and Luhansk. The United States, NATO expansionism of Eastern Europe, CIA covert operations with neo-nazi groups, as well as foreign interference and the hypocrisy from political pundits who are creating a divisive atmosphere. The conflict portrayed by the legacy media shows it as evil verses good, yet there are multiple variables at play where there are no "good" sides.

In todays episode, The Taliban and the war for Afghanistan. When the Soviet Union negotiated a retreat out of Afghanistan in 1979, it was Pakistan who mediated the talks. However, the civil war between the Afghan factions, most notably, the Northern Alliance under Ahmed Shah Massoud, the leftover communists and the Taliban with Mohammad "Mullah" Omar began as the fight for control of the country left many tens of thousands dead. The Taliban were led by Mullah Omar, who received weapons left behind by the Soviets in trucks, who in turn, quickly took control of most of the South of the country due to the weapons left behind. It was the notorious Pakistan ISI which led the Taliban to receive the weapons as well as getting funding by Saudi sympathizers and allegedly the CIA. Also, opium traders began to work with the ISI and Taliban, in allowing for the drug trade to exist, uninterrupted, by the Pakistan authorities and intelligence. Soon the drug trade extended to a Saudi, Osama Bin Laden, who by this time began to work alongside the Taliban, and assist their conflict against the Northern Alliance by 1996. 

An American pipeline company, Unocal, began offering their plans to involve the Taliban, to construct a transnational pipeline. However, the plan fails when the Taliban finds that their cut of the profits weren't what they expected. The deal was off, and the CIA began conducting intelligence operations against, Bin Laden and Al Qaeda, after the 1998 US East Africa Embassy bombings. The Taliban were then labeled a terrorist orgaznaition  while pressure Saudi intelligence tried to negotiate with the Taliban High Council to hand over Bin Laden to Saudi courts. Fearing he would be handed over to the West, they declined. Al Qaeda would deal a blow to the Norther Alliance on September 9th 2001, as they sent two men acting as journalists to assassinate Massoud with a bomb hidden inside a camera. Two days later, the United States would be attacked, just three weeks later, the United States would respond with a military invasion of the country which saw the decimation of the Taliban.

James Schwartz is a senior fellow with the Program on Crisis Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and teaches in the Executive Education programs including, Leadership in Crises, the General and Flag Officer Homeland Security Executive Seminar, and Leadership in Homeland Security. Schwartz is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs Committee on Terrorism and Homeland Security which he chaired from 2008 until August 2014. He previously served on the Advisory Council for the Interagency Threat Assessment and Coordination Group (ITACG) and subsequently the Joint Countererrorism Assessment Team (JCAT) at the National Counter Terrorism Center. He also served on the Homeland Security Science and Technology Advisory Committee and was a member of the Advisory Committee for the Department of Homeland Security’s first Quadrennial Review in 2010.

Jim Schwartz retired in 2021 after serving five years as the Deputy County Manager for public safety and technology in Arlington, Virginia. Prior to that he served in the Arlington County Fire Department for 32 years, the last eleven as Chief of Department. The Arlington County Fire Department was the lead agency for the response to the September 11, 2001 attack at the Pentagon. Chief Schwartz led the unified command effort for the Pentagon incident.

US President Bill Clinton pressured Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir, to expel Bin Laden. Meanwhile, CIA and Pentagon officials were often discussing about a capture or kill operation of Bin Laden. The Clinton Administration however, declined to ever commit to anything. By 1996, Bin Laden was welcomed back into Afghanistan, after Sudanese president al-Bashit had expelled him from the country,.

Bin Laden then began terrorist operations against the United States which started with two US embassy beings bombed in Kenya and Tanzania killing over 480 people. After the attacks of September 11th, the CIA then began constructing a covert operation which involved the CIA's National Clandestine Service's (NCS) Special Activities Division and 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). The operation was also known as the "Battle of Tora Bora" which lasted 11 days. CIA case officers Gary Schroen and later, Gary Berntsen would lead the operation from Namghar Province, which had major success in eliminating large numbers of Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters, With Bin Laden and about 400 Al Qaeda fighters trapped against the White Mountains north of the country, Bin Laden, as he did in the Sudan, escaped death.

In this episode i discuss how the Salafi/Wahhabi ideology which had manifested into a reactive, political Islamic response to Western foreign policy which is often dictated thru Israeli-Gulf lobbyists and their agendas for the Middle East. The responses from terrorist groups led by the Salafi such as the 1983 Beirut barracks bombings, 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and most infamously the September 11th 2001 attacks are often visited on the United States. Yet the West continues to show unwavering support to the Saudi Kingdom which propagates the Wahhabi-Salafi faith.

I also quote from those who wage ‘defensive jihad”, which comes from a preemptive or offensive attack, commissioned from by a political authority. These people ill be commonly know as "takfiri", or those who condemn other Muslims as apostates. In this case that authority comes from “uncommission” self appointed caliphs (rulers), not recognized overall by the ruling Islamic “ulema” or from the grand imam of the Al-Azhar Mosque and Al-Azhar University. In short, the essence of true Islam has been "corrupted", while being completely abrogated, by those i mention above in regards to the spiritual meanings from Muhammad and the purity of Dawah (inviting one to Islam). How does the West finally put an end to Salafi terrorism, while at the same time, revitalizes it with their disastrous foreign policy which undermines the Arab world? 

The Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities before and after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001 was the the official name of the inquiry conducted by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence into the activities of the U.S. Intelligence Community in connection with the September 11, 2001 attacks. The selected co-chairs to lead the inquiry were Senator Bob Graham chair of the Select Committee on Intelligence, and Representative Porter Goss, chair of the House Intelligence Committee. The Committee lasted ten months which focused on the domestic intelligence services and their capacity to counter terrorist activities. The panel had 16 members of Congress involved, but one panelist had stood out than most, in regards to intelligence sharing and the malfeasance involved. However, one member of the committee stood out from the rest, as his demanding inquiries were met with perjury, and outright denial. Carl Levin, a Democratic senator from Michigan was selected to take part when the committee formed in 2002. He was also  the chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee from 2001 to 2003 and again from 2007 to 2015 while also a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence. Levin passed away on July 29th 2021. Levin's authoritative voice, steely demeanor and authentic inquiries witnessed the Director of the Central Intelligence, George Tenet, commit an act of perjury, Director of the CIA's Counterterrorist Center, Cofer Black, mislead in his statements and former Chief of the Bin Laden Issue Station, Tom Wilshire, stammer in his response. In this episode, i will play specific excerpts from the Joint Inquiry regarding Senator Levin's interviews with a number of intelligence officials, some who were hidden behind security screens to protect their identities as i give additional commentary thru ought.

In this episode, Richard Cox and myself talk about the story of Mohamedou Ould Slahi and the film based on his life and time while imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay Prison in Cuba, "The Mauritanian". Slahi was accused of being involved with Al Qaeda and also being the conduit between members of the "Hamburg Cell" at Al Quds mosque in Germany who were allegedly involved with the September 11th 2001 attacks, and Al Qaeda. However, after his lawyer, Nancy Hollander, agreed to take on his case, all the charges against Slahi were made under extraordinary duress under the Central Intelligence Agency "enhanced interrogation techniques" which were defined as torture. Slahi even detailed his experiences while at Guantanamo Bay, which would later be made into a book "Guantánamo Diary" which was released in 2015. 

The discussion also details the abhorrent practices. Salahi was subjected to isolation, temperature extremes, beatings and sexual humiliation by military interrogators. In one incident, he was blindfolded and taken out to sea for a mock execution. Lt. Col Stuart Couch refused to prosecute Salahi in a Military Commission in 2003. He said that "Salahi's incriminating statements—the core of the government's case—had been taken through torture, rendering them inadmissible under U.S. and international law." Slahi was released without a single charge on October 17th 2016.

Coleen Rowley had served as a Special Agent with the FBI and was assigned to the Omaha, Nebraska and Jackson, Mississippi divisions. Beginning in 1984, she spent six years working in the New York City field office on investigations involving Italian organized crime and Sicilian heroin. During this time she served three temporary assignments in the U.S. embassy in Paris and the consulate in Montreal. In 1990, she was transferred to the FBI's Minneapolis field office, where she became Chief Division Counsel. Her career with the FBI spanned 24 years. Julie Sirrs is a former Middle East analyst for the Defense Intelligence Agency (1992-1999). In the late evening hours of September 11th 2001, those in the highest levels of the federal government were gathering as much intelligence as they possible could to piece together just exactly what happened and who was responsible for the attacks earlier in the day. The Central Intelligence Agency and the Counter-terrorism unit were alarmed that their initial suspects who were being tracked by members of the special unit, the Bin Laden Issue Station" were responsible for the hijackings of four planes three of which intentionally crashed into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. George Tenet, CIA Director, was given the flight manifests which reinforced his worst nightmares. Meanwhile a more nefarious unit was beginning to use the terrorist attacks to justify previous outlines, made many years prior by a very selective group called the neoconservatives. They were also called, The Vulcans, named after the Roman god of fire. They were Richard Armitage, Robert Blackwill, Stephen Hadley, Richard Perle, Dov S. Zakheim, Robert Zoellick and Paul Wolfowitz and  Condoleezza Rice. 

It was here they began to justify not just a military invasion of Afghanistan, but also against Iraq. It caused a split within the intelligence agencies who being forced to find anything linking the terrorist attacks by Al Qaeda to Iraq. The FBI and NSA were not able to find anything to link the two, which left Bush to give the responsibility to Tenet. The CIA began using enhanced interrogation techniques which was in it's simple definition, torture, on captured detainees from Afghanistan. They produced false intelligence but confessions none the less which was used to militarily invade Iraq. In this episode i outline the planning stages of the neoconservative unit in the many years prior to the September 11th attacks, and after.

Kenneth Williams is a retired 35 year veteran from the Federal Bureau of Investigation out of Phoenix who worked in counter-terrorism on foreign and domestic issues that included being involved with two major terrorist attacks on the United States, The Oklahoma City Alfred Murrah bombing and the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks. Williams conducted a covert operation involving an informant who went by the name Henry Ellen, a Phoenix based businessman who was also a Muslim convert and later went by the name, Abu Yousef. He was able to obtain information about suspicious activities by individuals who had contacts with known terrorist cells operating inside the United States, specifically involving Omar Abdel Rahman a radical Egyptian cleric based out of Brooklyn and New Jersey. This information was used to construct a memorandum which would be released to the FBI nationwide, known as the Phoenix Memo. The memo focused on Zakaria Soubra, a Lebanese flight student in Prescott, Arizona, and his connection with a terror group in Chechnya that had ties to al-Qaeda. Williams alerted his suspicions about radical militants training at flight schools in Arizona and elsewhere in the United States in the memorandum which was sent to numerous cities nationwide. However the report was not read by his superiors until after the September 11th terrorist attacks. He would later testify before the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate regarding terrorism matters and cooperated with the 9/11 Commission. He is also currently assisting the 9/11 victims families in their civil suit against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, even after defying the order of the FBI not to for fear of compromising US-Saudi relations.

When United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into an open field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania on September 11th 2001, nobody in Somerset County imagined that this horrific incident would be thoughtlessly expressed by the minds of fringe conspiracy theorists who would entertain, repeatedly, irrational theories that would undermine current federal and local investigators looking at foreign intervention and financial assistance into the cooperators of this crime. Or by the federal government who made sure to use the FBI to omit certain information that may be relevant to what took place before and during the hijacking. In todays episode we cover the life of one of Islam's most venerated and enigmatic scholars of the century. Abdullah Yusuf Azzam was a Palestinian Islamic scholar, author and credited as being the founder of modern day defensive jihad, or "aljihad aldifaeiu" (aldifayou) in the Arabic. In the Quran there are three types of jihad, the jihad against yourself, the jihad against Satan — which are called the greater jihads — and the jihad against an open enemy — known as the lesser jihad. In 1996, a classified military planning effort led by the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)  constructed a covert meta-data collection operation code named, Able Danger. They employed the US Army's Land Information Warfare Activities Division as the data-miners needed to collect 'open source' information to track terrorist cells inside the United States. Erik Kleinsmith, Army Major and the Chief of Intelligence of the Land Information Warfare Activity (LIWA), was selected to take part of this highly classified unit. The data mining software would be provided by Raytheon Company and Orion Scientific, which helped execute the sophisticated data mining software packages. By 2000, the LIWA team managed to collect 2.5 terabytes of information showing 2 of 3 terrorist cells inside the United States, that included, one cell operated by Omar Abdel Rahman (Landmarks Plot) and Mohammed Atta (9/11 Planes Operation).

However, Kleinsmith was ordered by United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) lawyers to destroy all the data the LIWA had amassed, which identified 20 suspects, some, who were involved with the terrorist attack on the USS Cole and in the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks. He would later give testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2005, regarding the covert Able Danger program and what the unit were able to uncover. In 1932, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud granted permission for the American oil company, Standard Oil, to begin drilling for oil in Bahrain. The vast oil reserves which exported billions of barrels annually, would provide the Kingdom with American military protection from it's Arab and non-Arabic neighbors. However the hegemony in the region would suddenly come under intense conflict, as Israel would declare independence in 1948. Both Israel and Saudi Arabia would begin a race for American geopolitical influence which started under the Woodrow Wilson administration. Over the next 40 years tens of millions have been donated to Washington lobbyists, billions in oil exports and millions from rich Saudi businessmen which would continually pressure American foreign policy to favor the Saudi Royal Family. In 1996 the Defense Intelligence Agency and US Special Operations Command, under Joint Chiefs of Staff General Hugh Shelton and General Peter Schoomaker (Special Operations Command), constructed a covert signals intelligence program, code named, Able Danger. This unit would involve members of the Land Information Warfare Activities division with some of the most highly skilled tech analysts in the country. One of the members of this program, Major Anthony Shaffer, was already a highly decorated Army counter-intelligence officer, and was selected to the Able Danger unit. The operation involved data-mining which would later uncover two of three al-Qaeda active cells. The 'Brooklyn cell' linked to "Blind Sheik" Omar Abdel-Rahman, the other headed by Mohamed Atta along with three others linked to the 9/11 attacks.

However the program ran into resistance from SOCOM lawyers and Department of defense officials who determined that Atta and the cell were US persons and ordered that most of the Able Danger data destroyed. In 2003, while in Afghanistan fighting against the Taliban, Shaffer would give an interview to 9/11 Commission Director Phillip Zelikow, detailing the Able Danger program and what it compiled. When Shaffer returned to the United States he was shocked to learn that the Department of Defense had suspended his security clearance and levied "false allegations" against him. The Army Trial Defense Services heard his case and cleared him of the charges against him. Shaffer's story is told in full here in todays episode.

Mark Rossini served as an FBI representative to the CIA’s Counter-terrorist Center (CTC) at CIA Headquarters and he was one of the founding executives of the National Counter-terrorism Center (NCTC). He was then situated in the 1997 NYC joint terrorism task force where he served under the I-48 counter terrorism unit which investigated Hezbollah, which was the unit next to the legendary I-49 unit which was the team investigating Al Qaeda. In January 1999, Rossini was tasked to replace Dan Coleman at the CIA's Bin Laden Issue Station, code named, Alec Station. The Bin Laden Issue Station was under the management of it's station chief Michael Scheuer, which allowed multiple agencies to work within the unit. However the CIA was quite strict about who they shared data with. Rossini would become an important figure in an explosive act of CIA malfeasance when in January 2000 a cable came in which showed two high level Al Qaeda operatives, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi were coming to the United States after attending an Al Qaeda Summit Meeting In Malaysia. known to be involved in the 1998 East Africa Embassy bombings , this cable which showed the passport and US visa of the men was read by Rossini's FBI counterpart, Doug Miller, who began immediately drafting a cable to warn FBI headquarters. The Miller cable was then sent to, Alec Station's Deputy Chief, Tom Wilshire for approval to be shared with the FBI. Wilshire told CIA case officer, Michael Anne Casey, to hold off on sending. With the cable in 'limbo", Rossini inquired to Casey about why the information was being withheld. To which Casey replied ‘Look, the next attack is going to happen in Southeast Asia — it’s not the bureau’s jurisdiction. When we want the FBI to know about it, we’ll let them know. But the next bin Laden attack’s going to happen in Southeast Asia." This damning information which would have sent the FBI to closely watch the two men was never shared. In 1922, Egypt had gained it's independence from British Colonials rule and the Ottoman Empire was next. The country led by it's despot ruler, King Farouq, had begun to falter thru the leader's hedonism and affluent expenses which led most of Egyptian society living below the poverty level. Hassan al-Banna, a schoolteacher, began to organize a group of fellow Islamic scholars, it was called the Muslim Brotherhood in 1928. The goal of al-Banna and the group was simple. Usurp British colonel rule from Egypt and establish a sharia based government led by the Quran and sunnah.  By 1952, a coup de tat commenced by the Free Officers Movement led by Muhamad Neguib and Gamel Abdel Nasser. Nasser would become Egypt's second president, one that lasted just 14 years. The Brotherhood suffered under his tenure-ship. One influential figure from the Brotherhood would have a responding effect thru the Arab world, Sayyid Qutb who authored some works that would be influential in radical Islamic fundamentalism even to the present day, With Nasser's passing in 1970, Anwar Sadat became the third Egyptian president and was rather opposite in handling the Islamists. The Brotherhood, whom many were jailed under Nasser, were released. More radical splinter groups were born, opposed to the Brotherhood's wish to work with the secular Egyptian government. These radical groups wanted to live up to Sayyid Qutb's ideology of an Islamic caliphate by removing the secular Arab government and institute a religious one. By orchestrating to assassinate Anwar Sadat himself and force the loyalists out and institute an Islamic government. By 1981, Sadat was killed by members of the Egyptian army who were loyal to Al-Jihad and Gamma Islammiyah the splinter groups.  The plan for the Islamic radicalization of Egyptian government however failed. it would take years for the Muslim Brotherhood to rebound and become a legitimate part of Egyptian politics but in 2012, it finally achieved the goal of Hassan al-Banna.

In this episode, we discuss the profile of alleged 9/11 ringleader and pilot of American Airlines Flight 11, Mohamed Mohamed el-Amir Awad el-Sayed Atta otherwise known as Mohamed Atta. Who was this young Egyptian? Was he the shy young man who studied engineering in Egypt and Germany? Or was he the radical Islamic fundamnetlist claimed by the FBI and 9/11 Commission Report. According to family and friends from his native Cairo, he was a soft spoken young man who concentrated solely on his studies and hardly dated. He was also never taught any religious studies, according to his father, Mohamed El Amir Awad El Sayed, a prominent lawyer. Which raises suspicions over why Atta would choose to become affiliated with one of the most notorious radically driven mosques in the city of Hamburg, Germany, Al Quds. Who was then groomed and supported by known Syrian-German Al Qaeda contacts whom were being closely monitored by the Central Intelligence Agency and the German Intelligence branch, BFV. Atta would then travel to the United States and indulge in drinking and moonlighting with women which contradicted his Wahhabi held beliefs and also his shy persona depicted by his family and friends. While ultimately becoming involved with a hijacking martyrdom operation which saw the attacks in New York City and Washington D.C. on September 11th 2001. Leading everyone who Atta became personally involved with over the years to question his alleged personal involvement with such an operation.

So who just was this Mohamed Atta? Student? Religious fanatic? Terrorist hijacker? Intelligence asset?

For years prior to the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had begun a campaign against Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. Capture or kill the Saudi financier of terrorism. Meanwhile the National Security Agency (NSA) had began monitoring the Al Qaeda's connection hub in Sanaa Yemen, while foreign intelligence from Saudi Arabia and Israel were involved with monitoring Al Qaeda operatives inside the United States. All without the knowledge of those from the Justice Department, the State Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation. The CIA which led the operation under it's virtual station located in Langley, Virginia called the Bin Laden Issue Station (Alec Station), had amassed massive amounts of data from CIA stations in the Arab region, in which entailed important and sensitive data regarding certain members of the Hamburg Cell and two Saudi's, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi. Meanwhile the NSA also amassed 10 years worth of signals intelligence that started with the monitor of Bin Laden's satellite phone in 1992, and the tapping of the Yemen Hub in 1996. What was entailed in those cables at Alec Station? What was learned from the NSA regarding the Yemen Hub? Why was this information ignored altogether in 2 congressional inquiries and from the public at large? 

Since the British mandate (Balfour Declaration) along with Zionist influences inside the United States, Israel, has made a seemingly rapid impact not just in building a country governed by nationalist Jews, but also heavily influencing the American political and media apparatuses as well. Muhammad, Karim's uncle born in different locations but united in Baluchistan's tight knit Islamic upbringing, where they both would start out as electrical engineering students and later crafted thru Afghanistan's terrorist training camps and their vitriol for the West.

In this episode of The Darkened Hour, the intelligence services and their investigation into a young Saudi who was an integral part of the Soviet withdrawal of Afghanistan in 1979. As Bin Laden was expelled from his home country of Saudi Arabia, he and along with his Arab mujahid along with Egyptian members of the Islamic Jihad, relocated to Sudan. The NSA thru a separate investigation of a Hamas operative in New York City became aware of a satellite phone which was delivered to Khartoum. This phone was an unencrypted device which the FBI informed the NSA about. By 1993, the NSA had collected the data and recorded all the calls. One number in particular was raising the interests of the analysts at NSA. It was traced back to a house in the country of Yemen, where it's capitol, Sana'a was the location. It belonged to an associate of BIn Laden's from Afghanistan, Ahmed al-Hada.. This became the conduit for Bin Laden's Al Qaeda group which now relocated back to Afghanistan in 1996. The NSA shared with the CIA about the house in Yemen, where the agency started monitoring the movements of those coming and going from this house between 1996-2001. With the NSA listening to Bin Laden's satellite phones between, 1992-1998, and the phone in Yemen, and the CIA conducting human intelligence of the Yemen house, what exactly did the intelligence produce over the years? More importantly, what didn't they share?

For the religious ulema of the Islamic world in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the ideology known as Pan Arabism, or "Nasserism" (Named after Egyptian President Abdel Gamel Nasser) was a direct threat to it's existence and a liability for the Islamic world as a whole. Religious extremists from Saudi Arabia and Egypt began taking an aggressive stance against the secular ideology, which was to blame for the embarrassing defeat suffered to Muslims worldwide, during the "6 Day Arab War" against it's main adversary, Israel. American Airlines Flight 77 crashing into the Pentagon on September 11th 2001, and the subsequent investigation that followed, have caused some to question the "validity" of the incident. Adam Fitzgerald goes thru the day's events with actual anomalies that happened pre and post 9/11 which were not properly investigated nor reported by the legacy media while dispelling the more questionable conspiracy theories that have arisen from it causing the 9/11 Truth Movement to become fragmented. 

In a follow-up to the episode on Zacarias Moussaoui, Adam interviews Mitchel Gray, author of 'I Heard you were going on Jihad - How a Minnesota FBI agent may have prevented a second wave of attacks before 9/11'. Mr. Gray is an Iraq War veteran who provided valuable information to the counter-intelligence agencies after 9/11. An Arabic speaker, Mr. Gray is also an attorney and adjunct professor of oil and gas who lectures on energy security issues.

Adam talks with Mitchell about his encountering radical Islamic groups inside the USA, as well as the detailed information he compiled on 20th hijacker, Zacarias Moussaoui.
