The energy is suggesting that we process our emotions to move forward, and allow ourselves to explore the feelings we have around why we are doing the things on our to-do lists. Both Andrea and Emily agreed that there will be an emphasis with the Virgo 6th house themes of health and daily routines this month to feel grounded for the upcoming eclipse season!

Wow! 2024 has been coming full force without much breathing room! It boggles my mind to realize we're in April already and this is my first solo episode of the year. How has Capricorn season been for you? As Emily shared in this episode, Mercury and Jupiter both going direct seems to have lifted some stagnant energy for both of us! We also talked about releasing the need for resolutions immediately on January 1st and instead taking the time in January to set resolutions that align more authentically.

I always feel like the transition from Capricorn to Aquarius feels natural and inspiring as I enjoy both energies. However, the fact that I pulled three major arcana out of four cards for this month may offer a more intense season. This may be one of the most aligned matches between the cards and astrology we've had so far!

One of the main messages is to take the opportunities that the wheel of fortune offers us this month. What is meant for you will not miss you, but the wheel keeps turning! While you may be tempted to return to old patterns, try to push through so you can find out what is on the other side. By the end of this air season, you may find a lot of clarity so that you can move forward with confidence! For 2024, Emily and I decided to break the year into two halves for our annual forecast. There is a lot of intense energy including the first eclipse season in the first 6 months of the year as we move from solstice to solstice and the days get longer. As a gift to you, we are saving the second half for later so this episode wouldn’t be any longer! 

In this episode, Emily and I recap the latter part of 2023 and provide our forecast for the first half of 2024 using astrology, tarot, numerology, and the Chinese Zodiac. In numerology, 2023 was an introspective 7 year of recalibration and spiritual exploration. 2024 is an 8 year, which offers karmic transformation, wisdom and growth as we harness our strength and independence to impact the collective. 

2+0+2+4=8

To find your personal year number, add your birthday + the current year (not your birth year). Reduce the sum to a single digit if it isn’t already. For example, my birthday is January 4, so it would be:

1+4+2+0+2+4= 

13 = 1+3=4

Another example - September 23:

9+2+3+2+0+2+4= 22

2+2=4

One of the general themes for 2024 that we talked about was how art and technology serve as catalysts for change as we move into the Age of Aquarius. The power of humanity and uniting for a purpose will be impactful this year. We may experience a collective shift beginning with a sense of renewal in January, an important transition phase in February, personal power confrontations in March, a chaotic but introspective April, practical idea manifestation in May, and the need to maintain grounding amidst rapid thoughts and actions in June. It's a journey towards resolving long-standing issues and standing firm in the face of chaos.

In in true fire sign fashion, Sagittarius season has passed in the blink of an eye! Emily provided a description of how to embrace Capricorn energy, discussing themes of planning, efficiency, and goal-setting. We talked about boundaries and my "party pooper adjacent" personality that ties into traits typically associated with Capricorn's serious and ambitious nature. Even though Mercury will be retrograde and the holidays may not go as planned, we encourage you to remain open to fun and spontaneity during this season.

The word and topic of miracles has been coming into my attention for awhile now, and it feels like a continuation from our themes of "hope" and manifesting our dream lives. I asked Spirit for inspiration for a new episode about a month ago, and my attention kept going to my bookshelf. I felt guided to "A Course in Miracles" and grabbed a couple other books off the shelf. 

In this episode, I delve into the concept of miracles, exploring its various definitions and a few personal examples of how this has been showing up. I highlighted the idea that miracles involve a shift in perception and that they offer moments of rebirth. The discussion also touches on the practical application of love in our lives and the interconnected nature of miracles with the broader concept of synchronicity.

In this Halloween episode, I talked about how I'm not actually a fan of dressing up in costumes, but I love the feeling of spooky season and the idea of being more like the people who inspire us. As we transition into Scorpio, there is a lot happening in the cosmos! The energy of the full moon lunar eclipse on Saturday, October 28 is building, and the intensity will be increased with other transits. This is the end of a cycle, and the cards for Scorpio season are reminding us not to give up because the rewards are so close! It's time to trust that you deserve good things, and that they will happen. 

At the end of the month, we will be planning for the future. Every action you take at this time is amplified and multiplied. The impact of our decisions and the emotions we are processing during Scorpio season as the eclipse energy lingers will be far reaching. It feels as if our journey with hope over the past few months is finally starting to manifest in small ways. Our connection with spirit will be strong over the next few weeks, and we may receive answers and signs much faster than we're used to!

Emily and I have been gradually leaning more into hope and trust, and Libra season is really anchoring it into our reality. This season has a feeling of heart expansion and dreams coming true! I pulled powerful and positive cards for this month, most of which are from the Major Arcana. Eclipse season is on the horizon, and we are about to be pushed into a new version of ourselves who is bold enough to claim what we desire!

The past couple months of retrogrades and intense transits has brought to our attention what needs to change in order to have what we want. Whether you're looking for more excitement or a softer life, it will take some action on your part. The universe is ready to catapult us into a new reality if we're willing to go there! It's time to clear out old stories and beliefs that don't align. If you're not sure what needs to shift, the eclipse may show you, or you can ask spirit! Signs, synchronicities and downloads will come in if you take some time to listen and receive this month.

The axis of Aries and Libra being in focus with the nodes during eclipse season is truly a gift for anyone wanting new dynamics in relationships! This retrograde has been a wild one already, and this episode is a little recap on a couple of insights I've had. I was under the weather the past couple weeks so I was able to slow down and find some clarity! 

In the Virgo season Cosmic Energy Report, I pulled the 9 of Wands for this week, which is telling us not to give up yet. We are so close to our desires and manifestations and we will likely have some direction come in when Mercury goes direct again. There is a lighter energy on the other side of it, so keep going!

The last part of this episode was the message I received relating to the concept of tossing out the first pancake. I heard this reference 3 times recently, so I knew there was a message in it!

I am really excited for the group card reading I'm doing on Zoom next week. I will do group messages, followed by as many individual readings as I'm guided to in the session. There will be a replay if you aren't able to make it live! In group sessions, the messages resonate with the people who are guided to join in. Leo season has felt like a huge build-up of energy and it seems like Virgo season is coming just in time for us to make a plan for how to use it. For the first time in a few months, I didn't cringe and put the cards back in the deck! I believe that hope and dreams are closer than ever as we experience what the stars have in store.

The cards for Virgo season were all Wands and Cups, fire and water. This energy feels like passion and emotions moving us forward. Creativity, productivity, maturity and romance are all in the air as we approach September! 

Another message that was coming in loud and clear is that we're closer than we think to the dreams, goals and manifestations we've been working towards. If we keep moving in the direction spirit is guiding us, things will come to us with ease because we've already put in so much work.

Even with Mercury joining Venus in retrograde this week, it still feels like we're headed into one of the most positive months we've seen in awhile! I am looking forward to a lighter energy and a more focused approach to our next steps.

In the past week since the episode on subtle shifts that invite creativity and abundance, spirit has brought me a few messages and analogies about manifesting our dream lives. I feel like they are an extension of the series that has been coming together.

The first insight that came through was that your dream life is the rule, not the exception. We are meant to have our desires manifest for us, and it's our human limitations that keep them at a distance. We are meant to live by the laws of the universe, not the rules we've created as humans, like believing that we always have to work hard. 

Sometimes, we may just need to say, "The countdown is on!" to get into the vibration of success. We often need to hear something many times in order for it to feel like truth, but phrases like this are already familiar to us and have positive associations.

One thing I've learned from doing dream life readings is that the gap between us and our dreams is often a perspective shift rather than a lot of hard work!

This week, I've been noticing that subtle shifts are having a big impact on my overall energy and productivity. I received a message from the Akashic Records about how there is an amplification of our energy right now. Cycles of action and integration will allow us to maintain our momentum. 

Hope. Dream. Trust. Create. Rest.

Spirit has been taking us through this cycle over the past few episodes. In today's episode, I shared how this cycle has been playing out for me. I've had a burst of this intense Leo energy for the past week or so, and have broken out of some patterns of distraction. I found myself with a totally open day and finally experimented with some air dry clay that has been on my shelf for months! It feels good to be in the energy of creativity and play after months of stagnation and slow progress.

As I move towards my dream life, each of these subtle shifts is having a big impact. The more I follow through on the small things, the more I trust that I can achieve the big goals! Doing dream life readings for clients has also been expansive as I get to see how close they are to meeting up with the things they are calling in. 

Subtle shifts allow us to take action in manageable ways while the universe works behind the scenes to make life magical!

I've been thinking a lot about how there are some insights we need to hear at the right time. We can hear something many times, in many ways, and it just doesn't stick until we're ready to receive it.

Lately, I've been reminded to be in the "here and now" a few times. What resonated this time was that this meant being present both mentally and physically. This ties into the episode on our environments because it's been hard for me to get out of looping thought patterns having my apartment in a state of disarray. Once I started organizing my space, I had a new sense of clarity around some of the things I'd been processing. 

Being in the "here and now" closes the gap between nostalgia and your dream life. Taking steps in the direction of your goals builds trust in yourself and allows you to connect with your dreams with more ease.

I'm really enjoying connecting with people in my dream life readings, spending time in that expansive and insightful energy. I can feel my own dreams coming closer with each day that I am present and creating space for what I desire.

Emily and I agreed that Leo season is coming in hot! The heat isn't just from the weather though, there is a lot going on in the cosmos! This season will have a heavy focus on relationships with Venus retrograde beginning yesterday, on the first day of Leo season. You may be revisiting or reconsidering how different relationships fit in your life at this time, and you'll need to do some introspection to find the answers.

Creative projects may also come into focus this month. We should be receiving some clarity this week, but there may be some confusion at times as we move through Leo season. When you find yourself in a fog, try to zoom out and be open to seeing what opportunities you may be missing in your peripheral. You may also work through some wounds around scarcity and receiving abundance as you start to create stable foundations in your work and finances. 

Overall, Emily and I are both actually feeling quite hopeful about Leo season this year! It feels like a breath of fresh air and I am ready for it. We could all use some magic and I hope you'll join us as we start envisioning our dream lives together. It feels like what we've been working towards this year is almost close enough to touch! Yesterday was the new moon in Cancer, and the lunar nodes transitioned to the Aries & Libra axis. There are so many transits happening this week, and it feels like a complete change in energy. The sensation of being stagnant or in waiting is slowly lifting. It seems like this is a potent time to be co-creating our new reality!

I decided to do some automatic writing with the Akashic Records to answer a few questions, and I ended up receiving messages about manifesting our dream lives. I was told that I needed to share the process I'm exploring with dream life meditations so that we can all manifest together. 

One of the main takeaways from this episode is to dream big enough that there is space for magic and surprise! The universe needs to have the freedom to shift things around in order to bring you what you're dreaming into your life. The more limitations and control you have, the more difficult it is for the universe to deliver!

I've opened up some spaces for readings and healing energy sessions if you'd like to tune in with your spirit team and gain some clarity around what is in your field.

This episode is another one featuring some channeled messages that came through when I felt spirit near. Today's messages were about gathering inspiration and remembering what came naturally to us in childhood. The images that came through first were of a chipmunk coming out of its hole to find food. It is reminding us to come out of our incubation period and gather inspiration to nourish us throughout the winter.

Many of you may have joined Threads, the new app by Meta. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've made lots of connections and found new sources of inspiration.

Lately, I've been getting so many messages about leaning into hope and faith. It's been a long few years and it seems like we've just been waiting for the other shoe to drop every time something good starts to happen. The energy that is coming through is very different though. Spirit has been reminding me in so many ways that we have so much support!

One afternoon, I had a strong nudge from spirit to record myself channeling, something I've never really done before outside of readings. The message was about hope. We are coming into a time when it is safe to hope again, without disclaimers and naming all the ways it might not work out. Every time I talk about something I want, I always follow it by saying that I'll be okay if it doesn't happen. This message emphasized that because the possibility of it not working is implied, we don't need to put any energy into it. We can just hope. Period.

I was also shown the difference between hope and wishful thinking. Wishful thinking is often us focusing on something that we know isn't possible, is based on ego, or that isn't in our best interest. It is allowing the mind to tell a story. Hope comes from the soul, and allows us to believe that we deserve the best even when our circumstances don't reflect that yet. Hope is a light in the dark that connect us to the universe.

After receiving this download, I also pulled some cards to elaborate on how this energy may play out for us if we choose to process any limitations keeping us from leaning into hope.

Well friends, I can't say that I'm sad to see Gemini season go! Emily and I both had a pretty rocky month. The Death & Rebirth card energy was very present for the second half of the season. Cancer season tends to bring us back into our shell, so at least we will have time to process it all. 

We won't get away with smooth sailing, but there is a lot of positive energy coming in with Cancer season and the summer solstice. Emily and I both shared themes along the spectrum between nostalgia for what was, and hope for what's to come! Nostalgia and what we find ourselves longing for can be a great starting point for setting intentions and goals. What is the essence of the relationships and moments you cherish most?

A mid-month shake-up may feel like deja vu, but positive change is on the horizon! I am feeling more confident than I have saying that the past few months. I am leaning in to magic, romance and possibility as we approach the halfway point of the year. Things may not be looking the way we anticipated, but there's still plenty of time to be delightfully surprised!

I've been thinking and hearing a lot about spring cleaning and rearranging for the past month. Last week, I had to empty out my kitchen, and having my things out of place really got me thinking about how I use my space. Since moving in here 6 years ago, it's always been more studio than apartment! Having all of my work surfaces in the "studio" (living room and dining room) covered in dishes suddenly made me feel limited in my creative energy.

At the same time, I saw a post by Vaness Henry about the Human Design environments and I decided to revisit this topic. I knew that my own environment resonated, but hadn't really done much investigating. After opening up my books for readings again, and receiving a couple myself, a topic that has come to mind is the role of free will. Personally, I have a boundary with spirit that I don't want to tell anyone what choice to make in their lives, so I don't receive that information in readings. Instead, I am able to share what healing and growth is being asked of them, and sometimes what each potential could offer. In this episode, I share some examples of how this can show up in a client session.

The most recent reading I received made me think about free will more than any other in the past. A potential situation came up that I could totally see happening, but I am pretty certain it's not something I would choose. However, I also know that I can only see it from the lens of my life today. And at the end of the day, if I still feel it isn't aligned, I can just choose differently!

Often, we seek out readings and advice when we are not sure what to do, and are questioning what our intuition is already telling us. I've realized over time that I gravitate to readings when I am looking for validation to support what I already know. Decisions can cause us to get stuck in our heads. The second part of the episode is a discussion about the different vibrations and meanings of the words "decision" and "choice" that I've explored.

Over the past week, I've heard the phrase "Ride the Wave" a few times, in different contexts. I talked in my last solo episode about how I often receive things in 3s when I'm meant to process or share the message.

"Ride the wave" came up to encourage us to take advantage of positive movement, enjoying the high. We sometimes miss an opportunity or a window for action and it's a reminder to truly embrace the good times while they're here. On the other hand, sometimes waves can be choppy and we need to just go with it until things calm down. Either way, resistance is not the answer!

We've been connecting with our true desires and learning more about ourselves over the past couple of months. Gemini season is asking us to pay attention to how things feel in our bodies and to trust our discernment. We may have a lot of energy and inspiration, but it's important to direct it towards a path that is sustainable.

Taurus season was a very turbulent time for me, going between slow spring moments of comfort and wild eclipse energy catalyzing change. I feel like we're in a period of calm before rapid movement, giving us a moment to process what just happened. 

My Gemini newsletter will be coming out on Tuesday, May 23 if you want to take a look at all the cards that came up in this forecast. Gemini season is bookended with some confusion and self doubt, so try to zoom out and see the opportunities and blessings that may be hiding in plain sight. 

There were a couple of 8 cards, which tells me that we are going to start to see some manifestations of abundance to reward us for our eclipse work throughout Taurus season. If you've been making some concrete changes in your life to improve your relationships, finances and career, you are likely to finally see the needle moving.

It's been a wild ride between attending the Sacred Spirit Retreat in BC, eclipse season, and Mercury retrograde! I am happy to be back to doing some solo episodes. This was originally two separate recordings but I decided to release them together.

One of the things I wanted to share was that I did a healing energy session in person in the retreat and was so grateful to hear what everyone else experienced in real time. I am hosting my first Group Recharge & Sharing Circle healing energy session live on Zoom on May 24 at 7pm. We will hold space for each other and receive wisdom from what is shared. I would love to see you there!

I've been reflecting a lot in the past few weeks about how the cycles I am completing now started a couple of years ago. This time around, I am sitting with the emotions and accepting things with more ease. Part of the shift I am experiencing is that I am able to be more vulnerable and share with people close to me for support. We don't often stop to recognize our own growth, so I'm trying my best to do that!

In the second recording, I wanted to share some examples of how spirit crumbs come in 3s when there is a message I need to share or sit with for awhile. I had a few experiences where trees were removed from places I go to release. This made me realize that I am able to find peace within myself.

Cows also came up as a symbol of feminine energy and stability, energies I am trying to embrace and embody. I love how spirit brings messages in unexpected ways to make sure we know to pay attention!

I don't know about you, but after Pisces season, we are over it! Emily and I are ready for the movement and inspiration of Aries season to kick in. The beginning of Aries season is the astrological new year, and we are also experiencing the new moon today, so we can set powerful intentions for the year to come. As Emily shares in the episode, Aries and the first house represent the energy of "I am" and the self. Think about who you want to be moving forward.

The tarot cards for this month started in Pentacles, representing earth energy and financial security. We left off with the Emperor in Pisces season, and the focus on building foundations for your empire continues. Inspiration and courage come later in the month, so allow your excitement to build as ideas come flowing in.

Emily talks about some big planetary shifts happening this month! Saturn moving into Pisces and Pluto's shift into Aquarius are going to have a powerful influence on us collectively and individually. Her breakdown of this month's astrology has me feeling more hopeful than I have in the past few months, but I will still be leaving time for the occasional period of rest. It may not be on schedule, but I really wanted to get this episode to you while the full moon energy is still potent! On one of the first days of the month, I saw that there was an Instagram memory in my stories and decided to check it out. It was the story about how Spirit was nudging me to watch P.S. I Love You and a few other spirit crumbs that came along with the movie. 

The movie follows Holly as she processes grief, opens up to love again, and finds her creative passion. A year ago, I was feeling like I was ready to move forward in art and romance! I had taken a yearlong break from both and wasn't sure what the healing process would look like. I've just been following the spirit crumbs as they come. 

Seeing this memory come up made me reflect on how much has happened since then! In today's episode, I share the synchronicities between then and now with some added insights about timing and vulnerability.

I'm finally back with another solo episode for the first time since my birthday on January 4th! The Aquarius Season Cosmic Energy Report actually came out on the 2 year anniversary of Spirit Crumbs, so thank you for being part of this journey. I truly appreciate each and every one of you! My word for the year is "commitment" and this podcast is one of the most enjoyable ongoing projects I've ever taken on. My focus this year is on commitments to my creativity and joy, so I will be sharing how this unfolds throughout 2023!

The first theme, circular time, was inspired by an excerpt from Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. In this passage, she talks about how Indigenous stories are not linear but rather circular stories that encompass both history and prophecy. This really resonated with me and brought my attention to all of the ways that wisdom is adapted by each generation while keeping the core essence intact. 

Related to this, a card from Colette Baron-Reid's Wisdom of the Oracle deck called 25 Round and Round speaks to the spiral nature of healing patterns. We may be annoyed when a pattern comes up multiple times, but we are constantly moving up a spiral and seeing it from a higher perspective. Our reactions and activation lessen over time as we integrate the lesson deeper into our being.

I hope this resonates with you as we move through Aquarius season and the full moon in Leo encourages us to show up as our true selves to be seen more than ever!

Aquarius season is an optimistic time to connect with your community! We are taking our goals and plans from Capricorn season and discovering how they can impact the collective. It is a great time for trying new things and asking questions. We will be checking in with ourselves regularly to make sure that our actions are aligned with our authentic self and the impact we want to have in the world.

The 11th house, associated with friendship and wishes, is ruled by Aquarius and (along with the Page of Cups that I pulled) indicates that anything is possible if you can imagine it! We will be oscillating between dreaming big and having honest conversations with ourselves about what needs to be more balanced in our lives. 

In order for life to be sustainable, we need to connect with others and make sure that our lives are whole and inclusive of care for mind, body, and spirit. I am really optimistic about the energy of Aquarius season! Whether you are looking for more love, romance, abundance, or opportunities, it feels like this is the month we will start to see things come to fruition.

This episode is the 2023 Cosmic Energy Report with Emily Barnard! I pulled a tarot card for each month of the year and Emily shared the astrology forecast. It's always fascinating to see how our insights align!

Happy New Year! I'm finally back with a solo episode and it's my birthday! I am just coming back from a break for the holidays. Other than editing a podcast episode (obviously not my own!) one day, I actually took the break and was mostly offline! Family time, a snow storm and multiple power outages made it easy to rest and enjoy it. I love snow and being up north really added to the magic of the season!

Today's episode has been coming in pieces and really came together over the past few days while I've been fighting off a cold. It was yet another thing to make rest a priority. While I was surrendering to stillness and a slow pace, I was choosing movies and shows to watch and receiving some clear themes to reflect on. 

It turns out the cards for this week and next from the Capricorn Cosmic Energy Report represent the themes well. The first one is the 2 of Wands, choosing to take action on our daydreams. The second one is the 4 of Swords which is all about taking time to rest and allowing your next steps to be revealed.

How are we sharing the final Cosmic Energy Report of the 2022?! It's been a rough few weeks, but there's a glimmer of hope coming in as we transition out of Sagittarius season. Sometimes, spirit places things literally right in front of us on our path! I have been asking my guides to help me move forward and choose a direction to nurture. When I was walking home the other day, I passed a banana-shaped toothbrush and an actual banana on the sidewalk. Seeing as bananas don't exactly grow on trees around here, this felt like a message! 

I went home and looked at my favourite plant book, Plant Witchery by Juliet Diaz, hoping to find a section on bananas - and I did! It turns out that her two main properties for this plant are abundance and creativity. I was so excited and amazed by how clear of a sign this was. I have been thinking constantly about my art practice, and also how to attract and receive. This is an ongoing battle (which I'm sure you're aware of if you've been listening for awhile) so I am now more determined than ever to make art a priority going into 2023.

In this episode, I shared some of the meanings from the book, and a couple of websites. I resonated with a lot of what I found, and it seemed to fit in with what has been coming up for the collective. I hope it sparks some creativity for you!

I'm ready for some Sagittarius energy after an extra challenging Scorpio season! I had a few patterns come up to be healed within and it was reflected externally as well. The transition between these signs has been nudging us to think about what we want to do, who we are, and what inspires us.

Sagittarius season allows us to look at the big picture and take the leap! Dreaming big and giving of ourselves feels good as we enter holiday season. I am ready to start feeling the magic and taking some chances. 

Scorpio season has shown us where we need better boundaries, which will be important in the coming weeks! As we plan for time with friends and family, keep in mind that boundaries are kind. They provide a framework for a relationship to be sustainable. 

Sagittarius is going to be a season for letting go of the things that aren't important. Prioritize your favourite traditions and activities and let some of the excess be delegated or released. Let others help and take things off your plate. Balance how much you're giving and receiving this holiday season so that you can make the most of it!
